While I am no expert in fashion, I have noticed that Parisians have gotten SUPER comfy in their style. Dubbed “AthFlow” by some, the trend is all about comfort, sporty vibes with a particular “flow” or elegance to the look. Think hoodies of lovely fabrics paired with trousers. Tennis shoes and dresses. I have also noticed tone-on-tone sets. One of the windows at BHV has a mannequin with a gorgeous outfit of the same lilac color, head to toe. No pattern; the style is a purple hoodie and matching trouser style pant layered with a blazer.

As the weather warms up, Parisiennes also love their Birks. Coming from the PacNW, I am super happy that this style trend continues. FYI, there is an excellent Birkenstock shop in the Marais, with some unusual offerings.

Trench coats remain popular but don’t think of the thick cotton Audrey Hepburn-style coat. The trench that everyone loves this spring is a longer, fluid, draping layer. It really has nothing to do with staying warm or dry 🤣 – the one I am wearing in the photo is a Japanese silk blend that only functions as a coverup to help keep the sun off my arms.
