If you have been following along with my Jardin des Plantes (JDP) séries, you know that I have been working hard at sharing the “before” of the park with you. Well, I cheated a bit yesterday and went back early. 😬 Because I watch the weather forecast like a hawk and, man, next week is tough. Rain, rain, ☔️ , and probably some wind with it too.
I KNEW that all of those delicate cherry blossoms 🌸 would take a beating. So, I went back early and captured our 60-year-old beauty, my fav Japanese white cherry tree, along with a few other key spots before the rains arrived.
The current plan is to return for our “after” series to see all the new blooms 💐. I will walk us through the rest of the JDP tour, but after the rains leave and the park has had a few days to dry out. Ahhhhhh, Paris in spring. You never know what you will get! Don’t forget my rule of thumb this time of year – if you want to visit, come for at least two to three weeks. We can get a solid 5 to 7 days of rain 🌧 straight with frigid evenings and mornings.
