Île de Brehat, Bretagne – The hidden “Island of Flowers” in Brittany, France.
If you dig around on Google Maps, you likely won’t even see this tiny island off the coast of the Côté d’Armor. She’s a secret, nestled in amongst 89 other islands in an archipelago.
This pedestrian and bicycle-only island has five major hiking trails that criss-cross Île de Brehat. Flat and easy to navigate with loads of signs, what I first fell in love with are the houses and architecture. Every single home looks like it’s straight out of a picture book. Idyllic, so French, with the ocean as the backdrop, walking the island feels like you’ve stepped back in time – and right into a breathtaking botanical garden.
In this video I share travel tips to get to the island, some of my favorite locations, and so much more.
This is the dog-friendly hotel I stayed at, which included breakfast and dinner at a package rate:

Bisous and big hugs from France,
