Over the next few days, I will introduce you to a petite cité de caractère in Brittany (Bretagne), France: Josselin.

In competition to be named the most beautiful village in France, Josselin doesn’t land on many radars. In today’s video, I share with you the Saturday farmers market. It winds gently through the streets, past the church, with stalls tucked amongst terraces teeming with people sipping on a late morning coffee or an early afternoon glass of wine.

The weekly market operates every Saturday morning, year-round. But the traders that animate the historic center swell to over 100 in the late spring and summer months with food products, clothes, decor, gifts, and local artisanal goods.

I enjoy Josselin, especially with my roots in Oregon, because the village has a rather hippy, artistic vibe and creative undercurrent throughout the city. The eclectic mix of locals and tourists creates a unique vibe I haven’t found elsewhere in France. Check their local listings for events as Josselin hosts many festivals, concerts, and programs throughout the year, some featured in their outdoor amphitheater in the botanic gardens.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks of this adorable village located in the Morbihan, Bretagne, France, over the coming days.

Biosus and happy Easter 🐣 weekend,
Shannon

🇫🇷 France 🇫🇷, forever.
