Île Saint-Louis fun facts:
In the Middle Ages, its inhabitants were cows, a pasture area for the herd of the canons of Notre-Dame. It also serves as a warehouse for the construction of boats.

Throughout the 17th century, parliamentarians, magistrates, and financiers wanted to have private mansions on the banks of the Seine. Under the direction of the architect Louis le Vau, the stunning Hôtel Lambert (recently sold for $226 million) and Hôtel de Lauzun (public tours are held by RDV about once a month) was constructed.

What are the inhabitants of Île Saint-Louis in Paris called?
The Ludovisiens (or Ludoviciens)!
