How to Access the High-end Boutiques of Paris.
Tis the season for shopping, darlings, and with the excellent exchange rates, you might have plans to visit Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and other high-end boutiques in Paris.
Here are a few tips to make the most of your shopping trip in the City of Lights.
1 – @chanelofficial. Reserve your appointment as far as possible, ideally two months or more, especially at 31 Rue Cambon and 19 Rue Cambon.
Use the chat feature on the Chanel website or app, and the rep can assist you with the booking.
Chanel’s flagship store is located at 31 Rue Cambon. This store can be pretty crowded and experience low stock. 19 Rue Cambon is directly next door and new. You might enjoy this location better.
2 – @louisvuitton. At the moment, you do not need advance booking. Instead, queue about 30 minutes before the store opens. You’ll have first access to new inventory arriving that day.
3 – Place Vendome. Skip the lines and crowds at the stores on Champs-Élysées and opt for the locations on Place Vendome.
4 – @hermes. It is ideal to have an appointment here, especially if you plan on purchasing a handbag. But if the store is not overly crowded, the concierge will let you in.
5 – Passport. Bring your passport with you for these purchases so you can have the VAT tax refunded.
6 – Bon Marché. @lebonmarcherivegauche is an excellent option if you want to visit a department store that carries all of the designer lines AND has excellent customer service, restaurants, and an extensive collection all in one place.
7 – French holidays. Remember exceptional closures. Check the French holiday schedules to make sure stores will be open the day you’d like to shop.
Have questions? You can easily reach out to your favorite brand using the chat feature on their website to clarify hours of operation and visiting policies.
