Happy Friday and bon weekend! By request, I created a little ASMR Paris video for you today. What is that, you ask? Coined around 2010, ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is a relaxing, often sedative sensation when watching or listening to a particularly enjoyable video or activity.

There are a TON of ASMR videos on YouTube in all sorts of categories. But if you have joined this community, we all have one thing in common – a love for France, especially Paris! And when we are away from the city, sometimes the noises and sights of her, unedited, bring back a flood of exceptional memories and moments, a connection to the place we all long for and miss.

I posted an impromptu poll in my Instagram story last night, asking if you could be anywhere in the world, where would you choose to be? Some of you mentioned sunny, beautiful Provence (@jgronskyi @suzyefreeman and @sharimalan). @lyndyloo001 wants to be in Bordeaux right now. @gg_mediterranee has the great idea of going to a mountain chalet (yayyyyyyy for Chamonix!). But the majority of us want to be in Paris. And I understand entirely. 🥰

So, in today’s video, there is no music, subtitles, or anything else to distract you from the beautiful sights and sounds of Paris, as she is. I hope you enjoy it. 💝

Meanwhile, as I ran a few errands this afternoon, I noticed that the holiday decorating activity has picked up around town. BHV installed their exterior decor and vin chaud station. I can’t wait to document and share all of the Christmas fun with you throughout the holiday season!

The Paris Quarterly second edition, Winter 2021, is coming out at the end of the month. 👏 It is double in size from our last edition! Thanks to all of you for reading our Fall quarterly, for all of your fantastic feedback and support. 🤗 We have had a few community members plan an entire trip to Paris based on our digital magazine, which thrills me to no end. Merci!

Bisous and big hugs from France,
Shannon
