Bonjour, darlings! Welcome to Day 1 of your Norman…

Bonjour, darlings! Welcome to Day 1 of your Normandie virtual road trip! This first video starts with you and me walking the dogs on their final countryside outing in Bretagne. While Pearl and Rose stretch their legs before the road trip, we talk about all sorts of travel tips, hacks, and the tactics I used to plan this trip in particular.

After our walk and talk, we load up and hit the road. Today, I only have one destination because I spent so much time cleaning and preparing the house for being shuttered all winter. So, I planned only to have a half-day of travel to start.

Our first stop is an overnight stay on the beach. But the real reason why I’m here?? Well, you’ll have to wait till tomorrow for THAT surprise!

Here is the criteria and key planning points for this trip that I mention in the video:

Average 100 euro per night budget
A mix of property types
Dog-friendly
Primarily used @bookingcom

I am visiting plus beaux villages – WW2 sites are not dog-friendly
Max 2 hours driving every day
I also include an overview of the driving route
