Your questions answered, round 1! As promised, today’s post is the first in a series to answer community questions recently submitted to me.

Video: I am currently at my country house in Cotes d’Armor, Bretagne, France. Part of the reason I chose to invest in real estate out here is these pristine beaches. It feeds my soul to walk barefoot on the sand, wade into the water, and listen to the waves.

Q1: @lizoxhorn – Do you still do your day job or is This French Life your job now?

A1: I wear lots of hats! I have been in PR & marketing for over 20 years, and I specialize in brand strategy.

Q2: @missyblued – Do you plan on Bretagne becoming your primary home?

A2: ALL of France 🇫🇷 is my home! I love this country with my whole heart, and while my story is constantly evolving, I am just grateful to wake up every day in this country. Paris is also a big part of me and my story – I will always have her in my life.

Q3: @imafrancophile – Why did u originally move to France? What attracted u?

A3: My backstory and immigration journey are linked in my bio. Go check it out! ☝️

Q4: @kat.yvr.ca – Next vacation plans?!

A4: When am I NOT on vacation?!! Every day here feels like a dream. 😉 After I finish my Bretagne projects, I will take us to Normandie next.

Q5: @fayeatthebay – How close are you to the beach?

A5: I am centrally located to any beach in the Cotes d’Armor in about 20-60 minutes, max.

Q6: @camkean – Does your husband like living in France?

A6: He doesn’t live here full-time yet (due to work restrictions). But we both 100% love this country.

Q7: @thesunshineaddict – Anything you miss about living in the US/things you wish the French would adopt?

A7: I wish I didn’t have to spend so much time on paperwork and administrative tasks. But it’s just a part of the culture and systems here, so I have learned to accept it and make it part of my daily and weekly systems.

Bisous and big hugs from France,
Shannon
