About Gilles Leyronnas:
After musical studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Grenoble where he obtained a gold medal in 1981, Gilles Leyronnas returned to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon that same year in the classes of Jacques Lancelot and Jacques di Donato. In 1985, he graduated with a first Clarinet Prize. Since 1988, Gilles Leyronnas has been principal clarinet with the Orchester Régional de Normandie where he approaches the repertoire of chamber music but also jazz and world music. He has collaborated with great artists such as Michel Portal, Paul Meyer, Pascal Moraguès, Renaud Garcia-Fons and Jean-François Verdier. His favorite repertoire is that of the romantic era (Quintet by Brahms, works by Weber) and that of the 20th century.
