Coucou, darlings! Are you having a good week so far? Come with me this week to Paris’s sixteenth arrondissement (neighborhood or quarter).

Today, I share a luscious and vibrant video of the restaurant @andia_paris (a @momagroup project). Located in the old La Muette train station, you can easily imagine the historic gare back in the day. Passy-la-Muette station opened to travelers on May 2 , 1854 as part of the Auteuil line, linking Gare Saint-Lazare to Gare d’Auteuil-Boulogne.

Entering from the street and taking a brief flight of stairs down into the belly of the station, the view opens up to a breathtaking sight – over 600 M2 (6458 square feet) of stunning, colorful, and lush tropical decor. You can barely believe you’re still in Paris.

As you enter the main restaurant area, take note of the architectural details of the train station – the roof, the elegant steel framework, and imagine the steam locomotives easing into the space where guests now dine.

The space continues into an atrium area, where the trains used to enter the building, and now features an open kitchen concept. And, finally, step up into a vast, private terrace. Under the awning of giant trees, lit by lights, you can tuck into a petite corner, hidden away from the city streets.

According to one of the staff I queried, the restaurant can seat 600 guests and employs over 100 individuals to take you on a journey to Latin America.

Andia invites us to travel on a Latin map ranging from the Andean peaks from the Amazonian jungle to the Caribbean coast of Mexico. Giant woodfired grills fill the environment with mouth-watering aromas. I asked the waiter for his recommendations, and I loved every dish that came out of the kitchen.

Bisous from France,
Shannon
