My top five favorite healing spaces and relaxing places in Paris.
As we get closer to the “month of love,” I want to shift our conversations towards all types of love. And one of those is how to explore self-love and care in Paris, even as a tourist. Long-haul flights can take a toll on you and your body, plus the worry about getting sick.
Let me share my favorite spaces to rest and relax. All of the businesses featured have easy online booking.
1. Heal – @freepersephone is a business started by a fellow American. Picture this: A gorgeous, open, airy space with stuffed armchairs as your pedi station with real bowls (not the pedi-spa germ chairs!!). Add-on services like chair massages make your visit a bit extra special. I always bring a book so I can sit in their tea room and snack on a pastry. Do you have an RDV on Tuesday, Friday, or Sunday? Bring a market bag – marché Raspail is right outside their front door.
2. Heal – @reformation.pilates is a luminous Insta-worthy studio that accepts visitors of all levels. Mat or reformer, a Reformation experience centers and balances you inside and out. Bring socks and an open heart.
3. Heal – Want to connect but in a private way? @yujyoga at one of my fav hotels in Paris, @hoyparis is your go-to. It’s not hot yoga! Yet while the temp is turned up a bit, the lights are turned down low. Classes are taught in French & English, in a black-out ambiance with candles and fairy lights. Take lunch after in the vegetarian restaurant with house-made tisanes.
4. Relax – If you have been around here for a bit, you know my love for Jardin des Plantes knows no limits. It is crazy how large this park is, in the middle of Paris, and so much of it is FREE. @le_museum
5. Relax – Check out the reel I posted yesterday! Café, mint tea, hamman, restaurant, and gardens. @gmp_officielle is the ultimate in relaxing spaces in the heart of the city.
