It’s raining in Paris! And who is excited?! THIS GIRL!!! The country has an unusually low water table right now, and everything needs more water. Our growing season started early this year, and irrigation practices are very different in France – we need this water 🌧
PLUS, this lady LOVES a fresh, romantic, rainy ☔️ day weekend in Paris. OhMyGOODNESS, do I ever love a slow weekend.
Here is a favorite rainy day Paris itinerary:
° 9 AM – @noir_coffeshop – Local roasting, small-batch process and focus on their micro-batches of artisanal coffee. 100% arabica, with an SCA rating above 85/100, multiple locations throughout Paris.
For this itin: 9 Rue de Luynes, 75007
° 9:30 AM – Musée d’Orsay. Buy the double ticket that grants you access to the Orangerie. Start on the ground level with the statues in the grand hall, level zero, and snake your way around the Monets, Renoir, Degas, Courbet, and Van Goghs.
° 11:30 AM – Use the hidden restroom off to the left of this restaurant to wash up. Get in line early for the first-come, first-serve experience of the stunning Restaurant du Musée d’Orsay, located on the 1st floor of the building. Take the escalator to access.
° 1:00 PM – Continue up to the 5th floor to experience the Impressionist collection. Bring tissues. Take time to shop the excellent gift store for a treasure as you exit the museum.
° 3:30 PM – Scoot across the street into the Tuileries, and visit Monet’s giant lily pad paintings at the Orangerie.
° 5 PM – Just a few minute’s walk across the Tuileries is the @lemeuriceparis . Tuck into the bar for their impeccable “chocolat chaud” (hot chocolate), a glass of bubbles, or one of their exquisite cocktails.
