Have you heard of International Museum Day? @icomofficiel “Each year since 1977, ICOM has organized International Museum Day, which represents a unique moment for the international museum community.
The objective of International Museum Day (IMD) is to raise awareness about the fact that “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.”

Usually held on 18 May each year or around this date, International Museum Day is TODAY! All around the world, more and more museums participate in International Museum Day. Last year, more than 37,000 museums participated in the event in about 158 countries and territories.

To participate, today’s SWIPE 👉 & SAVE 👇 features a few favorite museums in Paris. Many in our community who have the opportunity to travel to France do so through CDG. So, while your toes are still in Paris, visit these museums before jumping off to the big wide world of France. Swipe 👉 through to find your favorite and then save 👇 for your next trip!

@museeorsay – Tucked into a former train station built in 1898, the d’Orsay doesn’t feel like it, but she’s one of the largest art museums in Europe. I especially love her for the Impressionist collection and her temporary exhibits, which are so perfectly curated, they are unparalleled.

@petitpalais_musee – Free permanent collection + excellent temporary + hidden interior garden restaurant.

@museeorangerie – The LIGHT on those panels by Monet. It is such a calming space. Go in the morning to start your day relaxed, calm, and centered.

@museerodinparis – See my video on this fantastic indoor and outdoor museum!

@museecarnavalet is a historic mansion featuring all things historic Paris.

Bisous and big hugs 🤗 from France,
