Day Seventeen is here, and I take you through the marché Noël at the Tuileries! The Jardin des Tuileries is a public garden next to the Louvre museum in Paris, France.
Created by Catherine de Medici as the garden of the Tuileries Palace in 1564, it eventually opened to the public in 1667 and became a public park after the French Revolution.
During the holidays, the Christmas market installed here features many food stalls, a Ferris wheel (see my video yesterday to take a ride with me!), loads of activities for kids, an ice rink, and vendors.
Admittedly, this isn’t my favorite market in Paris as I am not a big fan of crowds and the carnival environment. But this would be a family favorite if you had kids along for the experience.
FYI, I went during the lunch hour mid-week and was able to jump right onto the Ferris wheel, which is ABSOLUTELY worth the visit! Another tip? This Ferris wheel is installed at the Tuileries a various times throughout the year, including the summer months.
Bisous and big holiday hugs from Paris,
Shannon
🇫🇷 France 🇫🇷, forever.
