Bon dimanche, my friends. As promised, here is the last video in my summer series, Mont Saint-Michel! This casual, non-historical tour will be available in my Instagram story for the next 24-hours and saved permanently in my Instagram highlights and YouTube channel.

This is the second most visited place in all of France, after Paris. I have been during each season and I would say autumn 🍂 is my favorite. The summer tourists have left, the weather is cool and crisp, but less likely to rain ☔️ as it does in the spring.

Always bring a light rain jacket or umbrella, good walking shoes, and a water bottle. I mention in this video that I haven’t yet found a restaurant that I like for quality and price. If you have a backpack, I prefer bringing a nice picnic lunch to enjoy in the shadows of the abbaye with views of the bay.

To access the free park (map in video), walk past the abbaye entrance and the alley starts to dip down. The park is to the left. Continue on this same street to access the bay from behind the abbaye.

It is possible to do this as a day-trip from Paris, with a train 🚆 trip to Saint-Malo and a bus connection to Mont Saint-Michel. But that’s a LOT to do in one day. I think it’d be best to make a long weekend of it with an overnight stay in both Saint-Malo and Mt St Michel.

Bisous and big hugs 🤗 from France,
Shannon

🇫🇷 France 🇫🇷, forever.
